The Opportunity
Ridge Top Exteriors is hiring an Inside Sales Professional in Madison, WI to serve as the connection between our homeowners and our outside sales team. This is not a basic call-center or appointment-setting position. You'll build trust from the first conversation, prepare homeowners and outside project managers for productive appointments, and own the follow-up process when a customer needs more clarity, better timing, or another path forward.
What You'll Own
- Nurture inbound leads, build rapport, understand each homeowner's goals, and confirm qualified appointments.
- Create strong handoffs by documenting project details, decision-makers, priorities, concerns, and expectations in the CRM.
- Confirm appointments and coordinate closely with outside sales professionals so the customer experiences one connected team.
- Conduct post-appointment quality-control calls to uncover the real reason a homeowner did or did not move forward.
- Run purposeful phone, text, and email follow-up, reactivate stalled leads, close by phone when appropriate, and schedule manager rehash appointments.
- Track every outcome, next step, and recovered opportunity with detailed, timely CRM notes.
- Perform post-appointment estimate and quote revisions to quickly accommodate customer requests and shorten close times.

- You listen closely, uncover the real objection, and guide people toward a clear decision or next step.
- You are persistent without becoming emotional, impatient, or overly aggressive.
- You are highly organized, coachable, competitive, and accountable to activity, contact rate, rehash rate, recovered revenue, close rate, margin, and cancellation goals.
- You communicate like a real person: concise, helpful, professional, and trustworthy.
What We're Looking For
- Proven success in inside sales, phone sales, customer service, lead conversion, or follow-up-driven selling.
- Strong phone presence, solid writing skills, attention to detail, and comfort working in a CRM every day.
- Home improvement, construction, in-home sales, or high-ticket sales experience is a plus, though the right mindset and sales discipline matter most.
